Historical Context

The Central New York Library Resources Council, familiarly known as CLRC, was formed in 1967 as one of nine Reference and Research Library Resources councils (“3Rs”) in New York State. These nine Councils are currently known as the Empire State Library Network (ESLN). CLRC serves libraries and library systems in four Central New York counties: Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, and Onondaga. CLRC’s office is located in the city of Syracuse.

Scope of Collection

The CLRC Archives Collection includes images of member libraries and librarians. The images come from a 1975 slide presentation about the council, formerly known as CENTRO, and its functions.
